What are we learning this week?

"After reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, the children chose to draw the fruit from the story using a different colour pastels."

The Bumblebees have loved the story of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'. They enjoyed creating their own caterpillar from cable reels, kindly donated by C.J. Electrical. Carefully, they balanced all the way across the caterpillar to reach the food!

The children have loved the outside area this week. They have been getting very mucky in the mud kitchen and by jumping in muddy puddles!

Previous Weeks' Learning

The Beetles loved their PE lesson this week! We practised stretching in different ways and challenged ourselves in some relays.

In Bumblebees we have loved learning about the numbers 1, 2 and 3. We have been exploring the Numberblocks  and some of us even drew our own!

In Bugs we have been reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  The children sat and retold the story using our class story map!

The children in EYFS have had so much fun playing in and with the tractor tyres! Thank you so much to Farmer Ted and Collette at High Park Farm for kindly donating the tyres.

Some lovely free painting of the children's families!

We have been practising our fine motor skills by using the end of a paint brush to trace different patterns.

Previous Weeks' Learning

The Bumblebees are loving our 'Funky Fingers' activities! 'Funky Fingers' really helps exercise our muscles in our hands and fingers! Today we enjoyed putting Cheerios on spaghetti! We had to work hard not to break the spaghetti and could only put the Cheerios on with one hand. It was tricky but we managed it! We counted to see who had the most at the end!
