SEND Teaching Assistant (TA)

Balfour Primary School requires an enthusiastic, committed and qualified Teaching Assistant working specifically with vulnerable / pupils with SEND.  The Teaching Assistants are a busy and productive team within the School who support our enthusiastic students as well as our vibrant teams of teaching staff. In addition, the successful post holder will support our children at lunchtime. Please see the job description for further information about the roles.

Hours: The post holder will be expected to work Monday - Friday term time only. 8:45am - 3:30pm. This includes a 15-minute break and a 30-minute lunch.  [30 hrs/wk]

Salary: The starting salary is NJC Scale 3.  (£19,650 – £20,043pa) pro rata.

Term:  This post is initially fixed term for the academic year and will be reviewed at that time.

Class Teacher

We are seeking to appoint an excellent classroom teacher.  We require an enthusiastic, child-centred practitioner whose main passions are to instil a love of learning into our pupils and to develop a learning to learn culture within the classroom and throughout the school. This role is open to both ECTs and more experienced teachers.

Visits to the school are very welcome so that you can see we are a thriving and vibrant school at the heart of the Surrenden Campus serving the Preston Park, Fiveways and Hollingbury communities.  Our school is a large primary school with over 700 pupils on roll. Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Balfour Primary School requires an experienced, committed, adaptable and enthusiastic HLTA to join our hardworking team. The right person will be able to work as a team member predominately covering classes across the primary age range, but also working with small groups.

Rate:  NJC Scale 6.  (£25,927-£27,514 pro rata)
